Parked vehicle struck on Mercer

The Decatur Police Department responded to a minor two-vehicle accident at 12:46 p.m. Wednesday on Mercer Avenue near its intersection with Stevenson Street.

The police report noted Pamela S. McCullough, 58, S. Seventh Street, Decatur, was northbound on Mercer Avenue when she swerved to the right to avoid an oncoming southbound car. In doing so, however, she clipped a parked vehicle owned by Casey Knaub, Mercer Avenue, Decatur. Police estimated damage in the incident to be in the $1,001-$2,500 range. McCullough was not injured in the accident.
