Competitors representing several different teams were out in full-force on Friday for the golf outing that was hosted by the Decatur Chamber of Commerce.

The event began with a start time shortly after 11:00 a.m. when participants occupying several golf carts rode off to their first hole.

A ball was dropped off a ladder on a Decatur Fire Department truck at the start of the competition.

There were bright smiles on the faces of those playing matching the picturesque skies overhead at Cross

Creek Golf Course.

Various competitions were held at specific holes, with event sponsors giving away prizes. Players and teams could earn rewards for completing various challenges throughout the day.

Refreshments were also available, adding to a positive atmosphere.

The Chamber of Commerce will hold another golf outing on September 8th at 10:00 a.m. when the Adams Health Network Golf Outing is also played at Cross Creek.

Sports fans are also likely to enjoy the Motor Sports Festival that the Chamber will host on the evening of Thursday, August 10th at the Court House in Decatur.
